With a violent and impulsive nature, Schinkel seeks to eliminate any disruption to his own schemes. The film delves into the intricate interplay of ambition, revenge, and the quest for recognition, as these formidable characters engage in a fierce conflict.

Sick of Myself is a Norwegian dark comedy that follows Signe, a young woman who, feeling frustrated by her boyfriend Thomas, a novice and immature artist, induces a serious chronic illness after consuming a questionable drug in large quantities. The purpose is clear: to gain sympathy and admiration from her environment due to her adverse health situation.

With numerous critiques of victimhood culture, narcissism, and social media obsession, this film produces laughter, anger, and shame in various ways thanks to the great development of its pathetic, sick, and unpleasant characters.

🎥The Rehearsal (2020) 🎭🏠

Nathan Fielder, who I met through “The Curse” (more on that soon), is this docu-comedy that explores the concept of rehearsals in order to avoid the mistakes and uncertainties of difficult life situations. In six hour-long episodes, Nathan helps characters with “Rehearsals,” which take the concept of creating a fake reality to an absurd, hilarious, and often disturbing level.

Nathan, with a big budget and a great obsession for detail, starts to immerse us in a meta game of his experiment versus reality, in a way that enormously refreshes my hope in the creativity of modern television. Highly recommended.
